Bobcats In-House Baseball

WELCOME TO BOBCATS BASEBALL!

The mission of Bobcats Baseball is to emphasize the recreational and instructional areas of the great game of baseball. We strive to create a healthy approach and environment to learning and developing skills, emphasizing teamwork, respect, and fairness. We want the children to learn and practice fair play and teach good sportsmanship in winning and losing.

Bobcats Baseball Leagues & Rules

T-Ball (ages 4-6)
Pinto (ages 7-8)
Mustang (ages 9-10)
Bronco (ages 11-12)
Pony (ages 13-15)

ALL bats must be either USA certified or BBCOR.

Registration Information

Registration for the Spring Season opens on December 1st and runs through March 1st. More information regarding registration for the upcoming season can be found below.

In-House Player Evaluations

In an effort to level the playing field for all players, Bobcats Baseball and Softball will be instituting player evaluations prior to teams being drafted in early March. In doing so, our volunteer coaches will be able to make informed decisions on players’ strengths, opportunities, and potential prior to our players heading outdoors in April. Furthermore, these evaluations will help ensure a fair draft process and ultimately provide a more consistent playing experience for all players.

Volunteer Opportunities

The Tinley Park Bobcats are a 100% volunteer ran organization and we rely on volunteer to help ensure we deliver a fun and successful season for our players. If you are interested in volunteering for the upcoming season, please let us know during the registration process.

HEAD COACH

Head Coaches will be responsible for drafting their team and will serve as the main point of contact for players and parents. Coaches will sign up for their practice time from available times and locations. The number of Head Coaches is determined by the number of teams for each season. Commissioners determine Head Coaches.

ASSISTANT COACHES

Assistant Coaches will be responsible for aiding Head Coaches throughout the season. The number of Assistant Coaches is determined by the number of teams each season. Commissioners and Head Coaches work together to select Assistant Coaches.

TEAM PARENT

A Team Parent will be assigned to each team. The Team Parent will be responsible for delivering picture forms and uniforms and preparing a snack schedule for their team.

Criminal Background Checks are required for all volunteer opportunities.

Spring Baseball 2025

Shetland (Pre-K - K) $60

Pinto (1st - 2nd Gr) $150

Mustang (3rd - 4th Gr) $165

Bronco (5th-6th Gr) $185

Pony (7th-8th Gr) $200

$15 early bird discount will be applied at checkout (good through 12/31)

Sibling Discounts: $40 off the 2nd child's registration; $80 off the 3rd child's registration and each registration thereafter.

Late Registration Fee $120 (includes concession stand buyout and $20 late fee)

Team assignments will be communicated to families in mid-March. Practices are anticipated to start in the beginning of April and games will begin the week of April 20th. The season will conclude in late June.

Fundraiser Mandatory Participation:

I understand and agree that in registering my child(ren) in the Tinley Park Bobcats programs, I will pay $80.00 at the time of registration and, in doing so; will be assigned 40 $2-tickets and may opt to either sell them to recoup my $80, or I may keep my unsold tickets and participate in the raffle.

Baseball/Softball Mandatory Concession Stand Participation:

A 2-Hour concession stand shift must be completed by a family member (age 18+) of each child (capped at 3) registered for Baseball/Softball. A deposit (check) in the amount of $100 per child shall be turned in during uniform pick up in order for your child(ren) to receive their uniform. If you do not work your required shift(s) by the completion of the season, your deposit will be cashed. You may elect to pay an additional $100 per child (capped at 3) at the time of registration and, in doing so; your required participation in the concession stand is waived.

The Tinley Park Bobcats is looking for interested coaches for the Spring 2025 season. Our organization is ran by 100% volunteers, and coaches are the most important component in the success of our program, It is a rewarding opportunity that makes a positive impact in the lives of the children in our community.

Our league relies on devoted adult volunteers to help ensure that the organization remains structured and runs smoothly. We are always looking for responsible and enthusiastic adults to lead our teams. As a volunteer coach, you should have an interest in the safety, well-being, and overall development of children.

*I understand and agree that in registering my child(ren) in the Tinley Park Bobcats programs I give my permission for Bobcats to take and use images/videos of my child(ren) to use in print or on Bobcats website/social media.
