CHARACTER AND SKILL BUILDING:  The Bobcats Cheerleading Program is the leading recreational cheerleading program in our area. The members of the Bobcats Cheerleading Program pride themselves on building our athletes’ character in addition to their cheer skills. We base our program on a strong foundation of values including good sportsmanship, teamwork and community spirit. Fairness, responsibility, respectfulness, kindness, friendship and citizenship are also important character traits we promote and expect of the athletes in our program.
If you are a returning cheer family — we’re glad to have you back. If you are a family new to Bobcats cheerleading, we warmly welcome you! FUN, FUN, FUN . . . Bobcats cheerleaders enjoy cheering, stunting, tumbling, jumping, and dancing.
The Bobcats cheerleading program is for children in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade. All the Bobcats teams are recreational teams.
There are no try-outs, evaluations nor minimum skill requirements for any of the Bobcats cheer teams. There are no all-star teams in the Bobcats cheerleading program. All our teams are recreational, “walk-on” teams. Our “competitive teams” are simply game teams that cheer every Friday, Saturday, and/or Sunday for Bobcats flag football games and then choose to also compete.

GAME TEAMS:  Game teams practice at Allstar Athletics twice a week (July-Aug.) and then once a week when school starts (Sept.-Oct.).  The days and times for each practice is dependent on availability of the gym and coaches. The practice schedule is announced sometime in May.  Breakdowns and age groupings for game teams will be dependent on the number of cheerleaders registered.

COMPETITION TEAMS:  Competition teams practice twice a week at Allstar Athletics throughout the season (July – Dec.).  Besides cheering for the Bobcats football games, the competition teams compete in 5-6 competitions Sept.-Dec.  The IRCA State Championship is the first weekend in December.

ALL COMPETITION TEAMS ARE BASED ON THE NUMBER OF GIRLS SIGNING UP AS WELL AS GRADE LEVELS WITH NO NO MORE THAN 3 GRADE LEVELS ON ONE TEAM.  THE BOBCATS OFFER THE FOLLOWING DIVISIONS:

  • Pee Wee
  • Juniors
  • JV
  • Varsity
REGISTERING FOR A GAME TEAM VS. A COMPETITION TEAM:  At registration, cheerleaders make the choice to cheer on a game team or a competition team. Rosters are filled first-come, first-served, with returning game team cheerleaders having first opportunity to register on the first day of registration. There is no previous experience required to be on a Competition team, however it is recommended you have at least one year experience on a game team.  For the 2016 season, returning competition cheerleaders have first opportunity to re-register for a competition team; after that, registration is first-come, first-served.
