    • Introduces Shawn Roby, the Director of Parks and Recreation for the Tinley Park Park District.

    • In his position for just over a year, replaced John Curran.
    • Would like to thank the Tinley Park Bobcats organization for its support of Ron Woodworth’s family.
    • Discussed the upcoming Tinley Park PD referendum.
      • Passed around Fact Sheets
      • Determination under referendum – will allow payment of cap expenditures with cash v. interest on credit.

      • Fall softball is finishing up.
      • All things considered, the seasons went smoothly.
      • One refund request from the 8U division to be processed.

    • Softball Travel Uniforms – Fitting to be re-scheduled.

    • Candy is done; collecting money from 3 of 4 league reps.
    • Spring sport registrations opens on January 1st.

    • Fall Ball almost wrapped up.
    • Trophies are in this week – to be distributed to all of the teams.
    • Fall Field Day is tentatively scheduled for the end of the month.
    • The age change (from April 30thto School Year) is effective for Rec beginning next season.

 

  • Brenda Nelson – Cheer Update
    • Cheer Celebration @ Andrew on October 27th.
    • Pictures were taken last Sunday.
    • 1stCheer Competition was the previous weekend.

 

  • Brian Burke – Flag Football Update
    • Outdoor Flag season wrapping up next weekend (6th– 8thGrade on Friday; all other levels on Sunday).
    • Complaints were the usual – same as in prior years.
    • Indoor Flag
      • Very light registration numbers again.
      • Frankfort is not interested in partnering, but we may look at that again next year.
      • K-8thgrade – Only 25 total registrations
      • Organization is not on the hook for everything, but may have field time that other teams can use.
