Instilling positive sportsmanship is an important part of the Bobcats Football Program. Giving each player an opportunity to rotate positions and share playing time is another objective of the Bobcats Football Program. Bobcats roster smaller teams so players have an opportunity to handle the ball more often. Bobcats offers team and individual events at the end of the season: “Punt, Pass and Run” competitions and each team plays a Super Bowl game the last weekend of the season.
Bobcats has partnered with Positive Coaching Alliance (PCA) and in doing so, all football coaches and assistant coaches will be required to attend a PCA Coaches’ Workshop. Together, Bobcats and PCA will embrace the philosphy of character-building through sports as well as the “Double-Goal Coach” model where winning is one goal, but teaching life lessons is the more important goal. As part of the PCA program, workshops will also be available for parents of players. We encourage all football players’ parents to join this movement and attend a workshop when they become available in the Fall. Together PCA, the Bobcats organization, and Bobcats families will take a positive approach to pursuing victories in athletic competition and in life.
