Welcome to Bobcats Cheerleading Program…the leading recreational cheerleading program in our area and top “feeder” program to junior high and high school cheerleading programs in our community!
The Bobcats Cheerleading Program is a recreational cheerleading program and a proud member of the IRCA. Bobcats offer kindergarten through 8th grade the opportunity to have fun, form friendships and take pride in our community while learning the skills of a cheerleading team. The foundation of the Bobcats Cheerleading Program is: “Good Sportsmanship, Teamwork, Spirit.” It is because the Bobcats cheerleaders, their families and the volunteer coaches hold true value to good sportsmanship that the program has risen to its success over the last few years. We know that positive sportsmanship, teamwork and community spirit are life lessons the children will take with them when their cheerleading days are over with the Bobcats.
As the Cheer Commissioner for the Tinley Park Bobcats cheerleading program, I look forward to continuing the strong traditions that have been put in place for this award winning cheerleading program.
Game teams will practice twice a week until school starts, then practices go down to once a week until the season ends in late October.
All practices are held inside at the new home of the Tinley Park Bobcats, located at Allstar Athletics, 18475 Thomson Court in Tinley Park.
All teams cheer for Bobcats in-house flag football games which start late August and last through October. All games are played in Tinley Park on Sundays.
The season ends with an all team performance Cheer Celebration at a local high school.
The Bobcats Cheerleading Program is the leading recreational cheerleading program in our area. The members of the Bobcats Cheerleading Program pride themselves on building our athletes’ character in addition to their cheer skills. We base our program on a strong foundation of values including good sportsmanship, teamwork and community spirit. Fairness, responsibility, respectfulness, kindness, friendship and citizenship are also important character traits we promote and expect of the athletes in our program. We are PROUD to see so many of our graduates go on to high school cheer teams.
If you are a returning cheer family — we’re glad to have you back. If you are a family new to Bobcats cheerleading, we warmly welcome you! FUN, FUN, FUN . . . Bobcats cheerleaders enjoy cheering, stunting, tumbling, jumping, and dancing.
The Bobcats cheerleading program is for children in grades Kindergarten through 8th grade. There are no try-outs, evaluations nor minimum skill requirements for any of the Bobcats cheer teams.
Being a Bobcats cheerleader, coach or parent includes the responsibility of good behavior, appropriate conduct and good sportsmanship throughout the season. It is expected that everyone involved in the Bobcats Cheerleading Program treat each other respectfully and promote a positive experience for the children. Please respect our community’s parks and playing fields by reminding your child to dispose of items she brings to practices and games. Please also review your copy of the “Code of Conduct” and “Agreement of Compliance of Program Values” signed by you and your cheerleader at registration.
